2-Hour Safety Training Requirements for Group Rated Employers
In an effort to refocus group rating participants' attention to the importance of safety in the workplace, the Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) passed a rule that requires group participants that have had a claim in the past two (2) years to attend two (2) hours of safety training annually. CompManagement's wide variety of Safety Academy courses helps to fulfill this requirement during the appropriate policy period.

Critical Components of an Effective Drug-Free Workplace – Essential Training for Managers/Supervisors (2 Hours)

Employers implement drug-free workplace programs to protect their businesses from the impact of drug and alcohol abuse. Because every business is unique, there is not one right way to establish a drug-free workplace program. An organization's program should match its specific needs. A careful assessment will determine which program elements are the most feasible and beneficial, as well as which may be unnecessary or unsuitable. Also, if an employer is in a Federally Regulated (DOT, DOD, etc.) business, there may well be specific requirements that must be incorporated into the program. The session will also cover updates and changes to the Ohio BWC's Drug-Free Safety Program (DFSP).

Who Should Attend: Managers/Supervisors who are responsible for overseeing employees with an emphasis on workplace safety-sensitive positions. Program includes an understanding of effectively implementing and maintaining a drug-free workplace policy and procedures.

Class Time: The webinar will begin at 10:00 a.m. (EDT).
